ABC Translation India

Terms of service

These terms apply to work carried out by the India branch of ABC Translation unless a separate signed agreement says otherwise.

Quotes and acceptance

A quote is valid for thirty days and is fixed for the scope described in it. Work begins when you accept the quote in writing. Changes to the scope, including additional documents or a change of destination country, are quoted separately before they are carried out.

Government fees and timelines

Attestation, apostille and legalisation are carried out by government departments and diplomatic missions whose fees, procedures and processing times are outside our control. Estimated timelines are given in good faith and are not guarantees. Statutory fees are passed on at cost.

Your documents

You confirm that documents you send are genuine and that you are entitled to submit them. We handle originals with insured couriers, but we cannot accept liability for loss or damage caused by a carrier or by a government office beyond the value of the fees you have paid us.

Accuracy and complaints

If you believe a translation contains an error, tell us within thirty days of delivery and we will correct it at our own cost. Where a document is rejected because of a mistake on our part, we redo the work and pay the resulting government fees.

Confidentiality

We treat your documents as confidential and disclose them only to the staff, translators and authorities needed to complete your instructions.

Payment

Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due before the final document is released. For files that involve government fees, those fees are payable in advance.
